• Populating your "My Profile" view.
• Providing context to the AI for generating resumes, cover letters, and other content.
• Filling out forms using the AI Form Filler.
• Powering the career growth visualizations and analysis tools.

3. Third-Party Services

CareerBuddy utilizes third-party APIs to provide its AI features. Your interaction with these services is subject to their respective privacy policies.

4. Google Drive (Optional Cloud Sync)

If you choose to use the "Cloud Sync" feature, the application will interact with your own Google Drive account.

• End-to-End Encryption: Before any data is uploaded to your Google Drive, it is encrypted on your device using a secret key that only you have. This means that even if someone gained access to your Google Drive, they could not read your backup file without your secret key.
• We do not have access to your Google Drive files or your secret encryption key.

5. Data Control and Ownership

You have complete control over your data at all times.

• Export: You can export your entire profile and assets as a local JSON file at any time from the Settings page.
• Deletion: You can permanently delete all your data by using the "Reset All Data" function in the Settings page or by clearing your browser's site data for this application. This action is irreversible.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
